The studio,
on the board.
METAASA LLC is a design studio headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina — organized to turn a brief into a documented design a maker can build from.
Why this
studio.
METAASA LLC was organized around a premise every client eventually learns: a beautiful concept that can't be built is an expense, not a design. The studio exists to close the gap between the mood board and the manufactured object.
Four disciplines run under one standard: interior design and decorating for the spaces people occupy; industrial design for the objects people manufacture; graphic and commercial art for the images people read; and fashion and product design across clothing, costume, float, fur, jewelry, lighting, shoe and textile work.
The Raleigh studio is the office of record — briefs, design files, specs and sign-offs kept under one administrative roof. The paper trail behind the pretty picture.
"The brief is the contract, the file is the design, the sign-off is the finish — everything else is decoration."

the board.
Six commitments that apply to every commission in the studio.
Written brief
Every commission starts with a signed brief — scope, deliverables, revision rounds and fees documented before the first sketch is drawn.
Documented design
Drawings with dimensions, palettes with codes, specs a maker can build from — the file is the deliverable, not the mood board.
Signed sign-off
Deliverables close on the client's written approval — a design isn't done until the file records that it is.
Rounds defined
Revision rounds are scoped in the brief — additional rounds are priced, not negotiated mid-project.
Files handed off
Source files belong to the client on sign-off — the maker gets a buildable package, not a locked presentation.
Makers consulted
Fabrication constraints are checked during design, not after — the spec exists because someone has to build from it.
